Five things every local business website needs

1. A phone number you can tap

Most people will look you up on a phone. If they have to copy and paste your number, some will not bother. A tap-to-call button right at the top is the simplest upgrade there is.

2. A clear offer

In ten seconds a stranger should know what you do, who it is for, and what the next step is. If that takes scrolling and guessing, simplify.

3. Real proof

Photos of your actual work and reviews from real customers. Never invented ones. A few honest reviews beat a page of vague claims.

4. A form that actually reaches you

Test it. Send yourself a message and make sure it lands in an inbox you check. A form that goes nowhere costs you customers silently.

5. Your own domain

Your business name should live at an address you own, in your name. Social pages can change their rules. Your domain is the one place that is entirely yours.
